Lighting: Your lemon tree will need a lot of light. Make sure you place them near a southward-facing window, and if you live in a climate with short days in the winter, you might want to purchase a fluorescent grow light for the season.

Water: Make sure to keep the soil evenly moist. Don’t let it get too dry, and of course, never overwater. With container citrus trees, make sure to water as soon as the soil dries out or if it is only slightly damp, and never let your lemon tree dry out for more than one day.

Temperature: Lemon trees will thrive the best in temperatures around 70°F during the day and 55°F at night.

Soil: Lemon trees need well-draining soil that is slightly acidic. Keep the soil moist and fertilize during the growing season.

Summer Months: During the warmer months, lemon trees can be placed outside, which will be beneficial to helping them grow their fruit. Placing them outside will also increase their visibility to bees, allowing them to be pollinated.

Lemon Water

If you’re looking for the least amount of work for the highest reward, lemon water just might be your next favorite thing. Lemon water is a wonderful way to get your daily dose of vitamin C while also sneaking in a serving of magnesium, copper, and potassium.
